Some 20,000 or more mobilized in New York City yesterday, October 29. Tens of thousands took the streets in Chicago while huge numbers mobilized in US cities across the country. The near daily protests are increasingly radical in their demands.
Millions are taking to the streets across the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe. They are all protesting the US-backed Israeli genocide of the Palestine people in Gaza.
Three million in Yemen! 300,000 in London! Millions in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Prague… everywhere!!!
Meanwhile, the US imperialist beast has sent its warship to the Mediterranean. The US is bombing Syria and Iraq while warning these nations and Iran that any aid to the beleaguered Palestinians will be met with deadly force.
Below are some stunning photos of yesterday’s Philadelphia protests. They are typical in expressing the anger and fury of the US people at the horrors that the US is complicit with.
The US kept corporate media daily publishes lies about the unfolding events while largely obscuring the fact that the US and Israel are political outcasts on the world scene, discredited as never before.
The growing mass protests have served to increase the confidence of tens of millions that their contempt for the US-backed Zionist genocide is universal, that they represent the majority and that the US government does not represent their interests. Humanity stands in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.
The early on “liberals” who denounced the October 7 Palestinian uprising and then placed “equal blame” on the Israeli colonial settler state genocide have lost their credibility as the world increasingly understands that oppressed and colonized people have the right to fight back. The vast majority places no equal sign between the oppressed and their oppressors. They see nothing progressive in the Zionist state. The initial “liberal” demand for a “Ceasefire,” implying equal responsibility for the present horror is rapidly receding.
Increasing the size, power and unity of the ongoing mass mobilizations is critical. As expected, congressional opposition to the ongoing and deepening slaughter of the innocent is near zero.
