In the 2024 presidential election, neither candidate spoke for peace. Both candidates supported the genocide in Palestine. They supported the Ukraine war, which is bringing us to the edge of nuclear annihilation yet there was hardly a mention of this during the campaign.

The election was held at a time that the US is militarily encircling and threatening China and North Korea and intensifying sanctions against Cuba and some 42 other countries around the world. But there was almost no mention of this or of peace during this campaign.

Working people in the US are suffering with high inflation, lack of money for education and job training, or to bring down the high cost of housing and utilities, or to address climate change fueled extreme weather events. But there is plenty of money to fuel the war in Ukraine or the genocide in Palestine.

On Inauguration Day, January 20th, and during the previous week (Jan 13 – 20) people will come together in Washington D.C. and in cities and towns across the country in nationwide mobilizations opposing Trump’s ultra-right agenda, including his racist attacks against migrants, women, the LGBTQ+ community, the Black community and the environment.

The way to stop the Trump agenda of war, austerity and attacks on human and democratic rights is to be in the streets and make his anti-people agenda unworkable.

This starts now and during the week of Jan 13 – 20. Join us. Add your event to the list of actions around the country by clicking here:
