A lecture by Sharmine Narwani at the American University in Beirut, posted by The Cradle, September 4, 2024
This talk really helps with a understanding a lot of issues occurring in the “Middle East” at this time, so that many people who oppose the wars, oppose the occupation of Palestine and suppression of the indigenous people there, can better understand what is going on in what should be rightfully understood as West Asia. Who are the Axis of Resistance? How are they engaged here? What is the perspective of Russia and China on these wars? What is the role of Iran in the region? How can this region come together on its own behalf? How does it fit into the global transformation that many of us see emerging? What does all this look like from their point of view?
So, I hope you will take the time to listen.
